ABOUT INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY, MALAYSIA
The International Medical University (IMU) is a private English Language, Health Sciences University in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and Malaysia’s leading private medical and healthcare university. It was established in 1992 and is active in research and teaching within medicine and healthcare with a strong international orientation. IMU is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asia’s largest private healthcare group IHH Healthcare, which is majority-owned by Mitsui & Co. The current CEO of IMU is Abdul Aziz Baba. IMU was the first private higher education institution in Malaysia that received the right to confer academic degrees, and it was granted full university status by the government in 1999. It cooperates with universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, and China. The main campus of IMU is located in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. As of November 2018, the university has 716 employees and 3,786 students. The university offers programs in medical and other health sciences as well as MSc and Ph.D. programs.IMU was one of only three private universities in Malaysia that were awarded the “6 Star: Outstanding” SETARA ranking by the Ministry Of Higher Education in December 2020.

ELIGIBILITY FOR TAKING ADMISSION IN INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA:
- THE AGE OF THE APPLICANT MUST BE BETWEEN 17 AND 30 YEARS.
- STUDENTS MUST HAVE COMPLETED THEIR 12TH STANDARD OR ANY EQUIVALENT EDUCATION WITH MINIMUM 80% AGGREGATE MARKS.
- STUDENTS MUST HAVE OPTED FOR PHYSICS, BIOLOGY, AND CHEMISTRY AS THE MAIN SUBJECTS AT THE 10+2 LEVEL.
- THE STUDENT MUST HAVE PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
- STUDENTS MUST HAVE A NEW TOEFL SCORE OF NOT LESS THAN 80 POINTS OR IELTS SCORE OF NOT LESS THAN 5.5 OR MUST HAVE THE RELEVANT EVIDENCE WHICH ENGLISH IS THE LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION DURING THE UNIVERSITY.
