ABOUT MEDICAL COLLEGE FOR WOMEN AND HOSPITAL UTTARA
Medical College for Women & Hospital is a Non-Government Organization. The establishment of such an institute will assist the mobilization of resources for health manpower development for solving national problems through basic and applied research and by encouraging self-reliance in the women population.
This program will give a good profile of the talents of female students in the technical field by proving their better performance in medical education in a separate environment. This college will have a research cell in each department with good facilities for female graduates who can give more time in this field.
The college and the student’s hostels are within 15 minutes walking distance of the International Airport at Dhaka. MCWH in Sector-1, Uttara is at a safe, well-placed location and surrounded by residences of highly placed professionals and individuals. In its close proximity, there is an abundance of great shops, restaurants, and groceries where students can obtain items of every day to day needs.
The aims of the medical college for women & hospital is to teach specially selected female candidates for five academic years according to the syllabus laid down by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) for MBBS degree to be conferred by the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and then impart training of closely supervised internship for one year to create high-quality career doctors for the nation.

Application Form for admission into medical colleges in Bangladesh available in Month of August September:
- Must have passed qualifying examinations (HSC/ ‘A’ level) or equivalent examination.
- Class 10 (X) or SSC/ ‘O’ or equivalent examination passed
- Class 12 [XII (10+2)] or HSC/ ‘A’ or equivalent examination passed no
- Minimum aggregate GPA in SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent: 7.00 (eight)
- GPA either in SSC or equivalent or in HSC or equivalent: 3.5
- Minimum GP in biology: 3.5
- For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in SSC/ ‘O’ level or equivalent exam, only the top 5 subjects are considered for calculation of GPA. Therefore, GPA in ‘O’ level = (total marks obtained in the top five subjects): 5
- For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in HSC/ ‘A’ level or equivalent exam, only 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) are considered for calculation of GPA.
- Qualifying Grade in each subject individually is “C”. Therefore, GPA in ‘A’ level = (total marks obtained in three subjects) : 3
- Year of passing 12th Not More than two years gap. (That is if you apply for the 2020 session, you must pass class XII Std – 2018 or after)
